Glazed Stoneware

6 × 6 × 7 in

This hand-built cylindrical vessel is adorned with dozens of individually crafted clay pebble rocks. Each small element is hand-shaped, textured, and glazed separately before being carefully applied to the charcoal ceramic surface, creating a tactile landscape that invites exploration.

The clean geometric lines of the cylinder provide sophisticated structure while the scattered pebble rocks add organic movement and visual interest. Drawing inspiration from coastal sedimentary formations, this piece celebrates the meditative process of handcraft—each clay pebble representing hours of careful attention to form, texture, and placement.

Fully functional and watertight, this contemporary vessel works beautifully for tall dried arrangements, single statement stems, or sculptural branches. Its substantial presence and unique texture make it equally compelling as a standalone art object that showcases the beauty of hand-built ceramics.
