Glazed Stoneware

5 × 4.3 × 9.2 in

This hand-built amphora-style vase is part of the Little Rock series, where natural textures meet playful form. Sculpted from cream-toned clay, its surface is embedded with contrasting bits of dark stoneware, evoking a terrain dotted with tiny geological fragments. The vase’s form is tactile and expressive, with twin circular ear-like protrusions that bring a touch of whimsy to its ancient silhouette.

Each piece in this series carries the imprint of the maker’s hands — irregular, textured, and grounded in the materiality of clay. Whether displayed as an object on its own or used functionally, this vase invites touch, curiosity, and a sense of place.

This piece is watertight, making it suitable for holding fresh flowers or standing alone as a sculptural object.
